Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
Yes - I see clients in person on walks in the Cambridge area and via secure telehealth across Massachusetts.
How long are sessions?
Most sessions are 50 minutes. Extended sessions can be arranged for couples when helpful.
Do you take my insurance?
I am out-of-network with insurance providers. I provide superbills (detailed receipts) for possible reimbursement, and I also accept HSA and FSA cards. Many clients find that after reimbursement, my fees are comparable to in-network rates.
When calling your insurance company, you may want to ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible, and has it been met?
What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
How many sessions are covered per year?
Do I need prior authorization from my primary care physician?
What are your fees?
Current rates are listed on my Fees page.
What happens in the consultation?
Before beginning therapy, I offer a free 15-minute phone call. This is a chance for you to share your goals, ask questions, and learn about my practice policies. Together, we’ll decide if it feels like a good fit to schedule an initial session.
Can I see you In-Person?
Yes. I offer telehealth sessions across Massachusetts and walking sessions in the Cambridge area. I believe that movement combined with talk therapy can be very effective, and many clients enjoy this option. If you’re interested, let me know when you reach out.
Please note: couples and parent guidance sessions are offered online only.
